In loving memory
A sister and brother who were also best friends
Abigail, 7, and Caleb, 6, tragically passed away on July 3, 2026. This is who they were, told in their family's words.
Abigail
Abigail lived life with boundless energy and enthusiasm, always eager to know what adventure was next. Carnivals, family getaways, swimming, board games around the table — she wanted to be in the middle of all of it.
She loved T-ball, and she was happiest in the backyard with a bucket of baseballs and someone willing to pitch to her. She could hit ball after ball with hand-eye coordination that amazed everyone for a child her age.
Abigail had the quickest wit of anyone her family knew, and an infectious sense of humor. Her perfectly timed one-liners caught everyone by surprise and had the whole family laughing. She dreamed of becoming a teacher, and she already had the kindness, patience, and leadership that would have made her an extraordinary one.

Caleb
Caleb was a little boy who truly marched to the beat of his own drum. He had a sweet, innocent spirit, a bright smile, and adorable dimples that could light up any room. His imagination was endless, and he found magic in the simplest places — hours in the backyard, getting dirty, creating adventures all his own.
Watching Chicago Bears games together was one of Caleb's and Abigail's favorite things. Our Caleb was so excited that his name, Caleb William Oswald, was the same as the Bears quarterback Caleb Williams.
He had an unmistakable passion for trucks. He played with them, watched videos of them, talked about them, and lit up whenever he spotted a tow truck, fire truck, dump truck, or a semi on the road. They never failed to fill him with wonder.
Music was one of his greatest joys. He would ask for his favorite songs, dance around the house, and grab a family phone to discover new music on his own — then amaze everyone by singing along to songs far beyond what you'd expect for a child his age.

Together
The bond between them was impossible to miss. Caleb adored his big sister and wanted to do everything she did, happily following her lead wherever their adventures took them. They were constant partners in crime — dreaming up imaginative games, turning rooms into hotels, building secret hideouts where Mom and Dad were not allowed, and hiding candy together as if they shared the world's biggest secret.
They had a language and a friendship all their own. Their laughter, teamwork, and unconditional love for one another were an inspiration to everyone who witnessed it. Every day was full of love, curiosity, laughter, and wonder.
“Thank you for honoring Caleb and Abigail in a way that reflects the love, kindness, and joy they brought to everyone who knew them.”
